This walk will take us through the popular district of les Batignolles, from parc Monceau to Place de Clichy, on the look-out for a few Wallace fountains.
We'll walk along busy streets and pleasant parks, stop in one or two churches and discover this not so-well-known part of the 17th arrondissement.
A guided visit in late May will take us to the brand new district to the north of the arrondissement.
Note: Wallace fountains are part of the history of Paris; they were given to the city of Paris by the Englishman, Sir Richard Wallace, in the second half of the 19th century to supply clean drinking water to everyone in the city.
